WHO WE ARE
Alison O'Connor was born and raised in the United Kingdom, and has had a passion for chemistry since discovering this wonderful subject through her high school chemistry teacher. She graduated from the University of Salford, UK with a First Class (Honors) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry (highest award). She has over 20 years experience developing, writing and teaching and chemistry courses, including courses for the Advanced Placement (AP), SAT II, and Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT).
Every year we help students in both academic chemistry and test preparation throughout New York City and Westchester. Our students gain an enthusiasm for chemistry, learn critical problem-solving and time management skills, and greatly improve their school test scores and standardized test performance.
We collaborate closely with parents and teachers to devise appropriate learning goals and strategies that will lead to academic and standardized test taking success. Upon request, we also liaise with school counselors, learning specialists, academic deans, and teachers to develop a customized and effective plan of study which will complement the school's academic program.
